Go Skateboarding Day comes to Kona Skate Park on June 21

Featuring Red Bull Best Trick Jam, Major Feature Reveal

Skate culture takes center stage this summer as Kona Skatepark celebrates Go Skateboarding Day with a high-energy community gathering, revealing new park features, and the return of the Red Bull Best Trick Contest — spotlighting local talent and legendary terrain.

New This Year:

• Red Bull Athlete Alex Sorgente will be in attendance and available for media interviews. The X Games gold medalist and Florida native will join skaters on-site to celebrate the legacy and future of Kona.

• Feature Reveal: Unveiling a newly rebuilt concrete vert ramp, bringing fresh life to one of the park’s most iconic structures originally built in 1989!

Event Highlights Include:

• Red Bull Best Trick Jam with cash prizing for the local skaters starting at 9pm

• A $1,000 in cash will be handed out to competitors for their best tricks with the MVP getting an additional $250 and an MVP trophy

• Live music, food, and community vibes throughout the day

• 7pm: Mini-Ramp Bangers 4 Bucks
• 8pm: Street Bangers 4 Bucks
• 9pm: First Session on the Refurbished Concrete Vert Ramp
  • Red Bull Best Trick Jam!
    • $1,000 cash for tricks
    • $250 awarded to MVP!
